The Living Urn for Indoor Plants

Keep your beloved’s spirit alive with the Living Urn Indoor System. This special type of urn allows you to grow a Bonsai tree or a houseplant of your choice while holding the ashes of your loved one. The urn comes in 3 colors (white, blue and tan) and is made of porcelain. This urn for ashes has quite a few advantages such as: all-in-one system, can be grown indoors or on a patio, has five different bonsai tree options to choose from (for an additional price) or plant a houseplant of your choice. This product can also be used for pet ashes.

If you choose an optional bonsai tree, it will be shipped separately from the urn within 5-10 days from your order fresh from the nursery and ready to plant. Bonsai trees cannot be shipped to Hawaii or Alaska due to state restrictions. We’re sorry for any inconvenience. Orders outside of the U.S. are for the urn only. We cannot ship any plants outside of the U.S.

Dimensions: 9” high x 9” diameter.

Includes: Porcelain urn, growing medium, planting instructions, bonsai tree of choice (optional).

How it works: This indoor plant urn system has a special outer chamber that is separated to hold and contain the ashes. The inner chamber holds the plant and growing material. Instructions are included and recommend distributing a small amount of ashes into the growing material. All you have to do is choose the optional bonsai tree or plant of choice you wish to place inside the urn and follow the provided step-by-step instructions.

Bonsai descriptions:

Ficus Retusa: Also known as Banyan Fig and Taiwan Ficus, this Bonsai has small dark leaves which alternate up the stem and are more oval than the Benjamina. Grey to reddish bark dotted with small, horizontal flecks resemble tiger like markings. All have heavy trunks and are trained in the traditional curved shape. This type is among the most tolerant, versatile and trouble-free bonsai trees for use indoors. 6 years old, 8” tall. Plant indoors or over 50F outdoors.

Braided Money: The money tree is an age-old token of good luck and an invitation to good fortune. Resilient and does not require much care. It is the most popular plant for “Feng Shui” because it creates positive energy (“Chi” or “Qi”). It brings prosperity and wealth to your surroundings and decorates your home with nature and good luck. 8 years old, 14”-16” tall. Plant indoors or over 50F outdoors.

Hawaiian Umbrella: A beautiful bonsai representing the islands! The glossy green leaves of the umbrella tree are miniature and shaped like umbrellas to form a beautiful dense canopy. The trunk is relatively thin and does not branch out into a crown as some other tropical plants do. 8 years old, 10”-12” tall. Plant indoors or over 50F.

Traditional Windswept Juniper: This dwarf Juniper from Japan is the most popular evergreen in the U.S. When we think of a traditional bonsai and what it should look like, we think of this type. It’s very hardy, long-lived and tolerates many adverse conditions. 8-10 years old, 11” to 12” tall. Plant outdoors on a patio or in a garden.

Trained Tiered Juniper: This dwarf Juniper from Japan is the most popular bonsai in the U.S. These are very hardy, long-lived and tolerate many adverse conditions. This trouble-free evergreen is an excellent tree for the beginner. Trained style. 13 years old, 9” x 4” x 13” tall. Plant outdoors on a patio or in a garden.
